Rules & Practices

All Buckeye Creek rules apply to hunts on all Buckeye Creek properties. Buckeye Creek is proud to practice quality deer management (QDM) principles on all our hunt areas and expects our hunters to abide by and support these practices. Our buck harvest restrictions require a hunter to harvest a mature buck with an antler spread of at least 16″ (typical of a rack that it outside of the animals ears) and with at least eight points.

Buckeye Creek stresses safety and requires all our hunters to abide by our safe hunting standards during their hunt. Always wear a safety harness; Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the field; Know your skill and personal limitations while in the field. Any violation of these rules will terminate the hunt. We want our hunters to have a “quality” experience during their visit and these rules are in place to insure that for everyone. Ask our staff should you have any questions about our practices or policies.

Additional Services

Taxidermy, meat processing and shipping are available at hunter’s expense.

Reservations/Cancellations

A deposit of 1/3 the cost of the hunt is required to hold your reservation. An additional 1/3 of the hunt cost is due by May 1. The remaining 1/3 is due upon arrival and can be paid by check or cash.

Hunters will receive a full refund if cancellation is received by May 1st. This gives us an opportunity to find another hunter to fill the opening. After this date, no refund will be made, but a deposit can be used towards a future hunt or a substitute hunter.  To reserve your hunt call 847-359-5912 or email Sam at sferg82@aol.com.
